Happy 7th to My Baby Boy

He's not so much a baby anymore, but he's the youngest baby I've ever raised.
His huge eyes and gigantic, drooly smile cracked us up when he was a baby.
Now, at 7, he's still got big, happy eyes, and that same huge smile (that is, at times, still drooly--but don't tell him I told you!) He's one happy, funny little guy.

For Noah's 7th birthday, he opted to stick around the house. I can hardly believe it: a 7-year-old boy who would rather kick back with the family than go to ChuckECheese! We started the day with donuts and kolaches at a nearby playground (YUCK - YOOHOO. He never gets that drink. Have you read the calories or ingredients?), where we played family freeze tag. Daddy had to sit out a few rounds because he's been pretty sick lately, be we held up pretty well.

Then it was home to open presents. We hid several around the house with clues, which he thought was a blast. I caught his hilarious personality in some of these photos...
His first bit of birthday money. Thanks, Aunt Beth. We hid it among our DVDs.

Getting a kick out of the card Grandma sent.

In love with his very own, big bag of spicy Cheetos (DOUBLE YUCK). Thanks, Grammy.

Enjoying his loot.
His was, by far, the cheapest birthday we've ever done. He wanted pool toys, which are all on clearance right now. He wanted a remote control helicopter, which I found online for $20...and the rest was just small, fun stuff: Clue Jr., magic tricks, travel Simon, a movie, video game, and a couple of books.

After gifts, we had a family video game tournament. Then it was on to a late lunch at TX Roadhouse, where I had a great coupon. Back home to play games and watch a movie, eat cake, and read a story.

Happy Birthday to my happy little homebody. What a blast it is to watch him grow up.
